From a tasteful local estate collection, this enchanting 18th century pair of cabriole leg Italian side chairs, has lovely worn blue-gray painted layers accented with silver/gilt outlining and covered with blue leather slip seats. Each chair has mortise and tenon joints hand cut in the early method. Full of curves, the shaped crest and splats are above serpentine aprons
connecting well-formed cabriole legs. True collectors love the patina of 200 years of wear from daily use (see images). Perfect in a hall flanking a painted country table.
