Vintage Design
Large, massive Biedermeier chest of drawers. Dated around 1840. Made of high-gloss polished mahogany wood with a wonderful graining on the front. The whole is crowned with a heavy table top made of dark, heavily veined, black and gray marble.
The rectangular, simple form of furniture is supported on a pedestal slightly protruding beyond the body, on four wide legs with an arched cut at the front. The chest of drawers has 4 drawers – a narrower one at the top, and 3 wide drawers with a key. The ornament is made of brass handles with the Empire motif of a wreath and a vase.
The chest of drawers is marked for its refined, restrained design, high-quality materials and perfect finish.
