Vintage Design
Beech and ceramic oval coffee table signed Barrois from Vallauris aera in the South of France. Made between 1960 and 1970. The table’s four legs are arranged in an original way, so that it appears to have only three! Water marks on the legs. Vallauris is located in the south of France, where the Templars were particularly active before they were disgraced by King Philip IV of France and Pope Clement V. As can be seen from the cross superimposed on the sun, the history of the Templars inspired the ceramist Barrois, whose work takes up this theme in several of his pieces. Solid and massive design Good condition.
